Every creature has a role to play.
The colour on the back of each card tells you its power. Black creatures are the foundation, blue grow stronger, red are the strongest of all.

Anatomy of a creature
A Wolf attacking a Gyr Falcon (2 health) removes it instantly. A Rat against an Anaconda barely dents it. Knowing these match-ups is the heart of the game.
Each creature card shows an attack value and a health value — the latter inside a heart symbol. In battle, a creature uses its attack to chip away at the health of the card opposite.
